Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Anatomy and Physiology faculty position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology that begins in August 2022.  

 

Successful candidates will be expected to establish an inclusive teaching environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel like they belong and can be successful.  The primary teaching area is in an human anatomy and physiology course sequence, but other courses may be included as appropriate to pre-allied health and exercise science majors.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Teaching at the undergraduate level is expected with an emphasis on active, inclusive, and experiential learning. 
  • A flexible schedule that can support teaching evenings and weekends is desirable.
  • Summer teaching is optional.
  • There are no research expectations.
  • Participation in professional service and support for inclusive excellence within the Department, the College of Science and Mathematics, the University and beyond is expected.

 

An earned Masters or Ph.D., or its foreign equivalent, in a biological science or closely related discipline, with coursework relevant to teaching anatomy and physiology is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • A record of using evidence-based, inclusive teaching practices at the university level.
  • A record of teaching human anatomy and physiology
  • A record of teaching allied-health-related courses.
  • A record of teaching online
  • Mentoring undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Service that engages a diverse community and works to build an inclusive institution.
  • A flexible schedule that can support teaching evenings and weekends is desirable.
