Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering Technology faculty position in the Department of Engineering Technology with a preferred start date of August 1, 2022. 

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Teaching undergraduate and potentially graduate courses throughout the curriculum, with emphasis on engineering design graphics and manufacturing as well as courses such as statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, materials science, thermodynamics, machine design, computer aided engineering, and/or related laboratory courses. 
  • Some service activities at the department, college, or university level are expected.

 

An earned Master’s degree, or a foreign equivalent, in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, engineering education, engineering management, or related field is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • An earned Ph.D., or a foreign equivalent, in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, engineering education, engineering management or a related field
  • Related work experience and/or Professional Engineering licensure
  • Record of past teaching in higher education
  • Experience teaching in various delivery modes
  • Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community
  • Expertise in engineering design graphics, mechanics, welding, machining, and/or manufacturing is a plus
  • Certified SolidWorks Professional Certification or better
