Job Summary

Enterprise Project Manager III, under the supervision of the Enterprise Project Management Office ( EPMO ), will focus primarily on the implementation and maintenance of the college Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) system utilizing project management methodologies as defined by the Project Management Institute ( PMI ). This senior-level Project Manager (PM) will engage with the Chief Technology Officer ( CTO ) and his cabinet throughout the life cycle of the ERP project providing impactful communication, project status, and strategic delivery. PM will liaise between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.
This position will also collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer ( COO ) and the Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Strategic Priorities to further develop and plan the ERP’s Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) process and utilization throughout the college.
The PM III will lead all efforts of Tarrant County College District’s five-year ERP roadmap as identified by the college Senior Leadership to meet its organizational needs and requirements. This position will require extensive knowledge and experience with ERP systems and configurations and a proven track record managing high-level projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • ERP Project Manager develops, plans, and implements the Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) system
  • ERP Project Manager evaluates and recommends changes to current and future ERP system requirements to meet TCC’s needs
  • ERP Project Manager leads the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with ERP configuration
  • Identify ERP project risks and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Present formal presentations and executive summaries to senior management to provide recommendation and status updates
  • Manage all aspects of the Project life Cycle to facilitate successful delivery to the executive team
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
  • Manage high visibility and complex projects that span one or more campuses and/ or departments
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for Three (3) Goals and Eight (8) Principles
  • Manage and monitor time, scope, cost, scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project set-up with customers, sub-consultants, vendors, and contractors
  • Direct, lead, mentor, and coach Level I and II EPMs
  • Ability to execute projects on time and on budget as defined by EPMO Directors
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, customer requirements, user acceptance testing, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Discover, validate, document, and communicate business processes and requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and issue project documents (e.g., milestones, deliverables, risk and issues, status reports, detailed project schedule updates, and financial/budget updates)
  • Identify and promote solutions to any problem, which might impede the progress of the project or adversely affect customer relations. This includes soliciting the help and personal involvement of management as appropriate in the solution of unusual technical problems encountered in the progress of work
  • In absence of a Director, complete various tasks related to current projects as authorized
  • Re-plan and make corrections/adjustments as required to maintain schedule; identifies the cause, advises customer, and negotiates changes in fee as appropriate

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in math/statistics, computer science, business, social/behavioral sciences, higher education administration, business administration, or a related field
  • Seven (7) years of experience
  • Project Management Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business, engineering, math/statistics, computer science, social/behavioral sciences, higher education administration, business administration, or a related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience
  • Familiarity with project evaluation in higher education and/or public sector environment
  • Certified: Agile, Scrum Master, Product Owner, ITIL, Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Extensive ERP / CRM Software implementation experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proven history of ability to be adaptable and have great attention to detail while working on multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • History of leading and organizing team efforts on large-scale projects
  • Proven record of being detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful with the ability to complete projects with rapidly changing priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with extensive experience presenting to executive leadership
  • Evidence of continued skill advancement through the learning of new technologies/methodologies and contributions to scholarly works (e.g., presentations, publications, etc.)
  • Proficiency with project management software (Smartsheet, MS Project, Team Dynamics, or equivalent), word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Proven record of excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
