Purpose of Job

Teach coursework in the Multimedia Technologies/Video Production Program.
Develop curriculum and provide training and student support to produce graduates who meet entry-level employment criteria for positions in the Multimedia field.

Education Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION : Minimum of Associates degree in related field
State Teaching Certificate is not required

PREFERRED EDUCATION : Bachelor’s preferred

Experience Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Instructional time (based on 55-hour, 44-hour or 33-hour schedule)
• Preparation time
• Grading
• Office hours and other formal and informal interaction with the students, i.e., telephone, email
• Three hours per quarter of faculty meetings/in-service training
• Eight hours of pre-service training provided by the Center for Teaching and Learning

Responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
You must be able to demonstrate competence in:

• Photography, Cinematography
• Audio Production
• Post Production
• Adobe Creative Cloud
• Digital Media and Video Pre-Production

Would be a plus:

• Live Production, Streaming and Podcasting
• Motion Graphics, Visual Effects

Work Schedule

WORK SCHEDULE : 40-hour work week Monday – Friday – mornings, afternoons, or evenings

WORKING CONDITIONS :

• Equipment used includes desktop or laptop with Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work generally performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
