To support the university mission, the Division of Enrollment
Management, Communication, and Student Affairs will work creatively
and diligently to attain optimal enrollments, enhance student
development and success, and support the academic units and overall
mission of the institution with the purpose of ensuring seamless
systems and positive experiences for our students.
The Office of Admissions at Colorado State University Pueblo will
support the university mission and enrollment goals by providing
intentional, professional, and attentive service to facilitate
recruitment and admission, with the purpose of attaining students
from diverse backgrounds who are well-suited to the university.
Description of Job
The CRM Processing and Technology Specialist oversees the
day-to-day operations of the Admissions CRM (Technolutions Slate)
as they relate to processing applications to CSU Pueblo. This
position also assists with other functions related to the
management of the CRM as needed.
Primary Duties
Builds and maintains components of Slate CRM system related to
application processing, including:
- Develops and updates fields, prompts, interactions;
- Develops and updates application processes, materials, and checklists;
- Develops and updates application review processes, reader forms, and online admission procedures;
- Manages external and internal portals and makes updates to content;
- Writes and manages audit queries for operations and processing to maintain the integrity of data sent to the SIS (Ellucian Banner);
- Creates and manages forms;
- Assists (as needed) in the creation, testing, sending, and tracking of automated admissions digital and email communications;
- Assists with maintaining quality assurance and control, including merging duplicate records, adding new prompts/fields/activities/interactions, managing annual cycle preparation, etc.
- Documents technical processes;
- Creates and manages workflows for system and data maintenance;
- Works with others on campus and at CSU in Fort Collins to ensure import and export processes related to application files flow smoothly between Slate and Banner.
Assists with system troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technical collaborations with colleagues in and outside of the Office of Admissions, including:
- Builds and maintains forms;
- Builds and maintains reports and queries;
- Works with appropriate campus personnel to resolve issues with data and individual student records as needed;
- Collaborates with Business Financial Services office to manage Stripe payments and refunds, as needed;
- Serves as a liaison between the technical staff and end-user staff;
- Submits tickets on behalf of end users, and requests focus calls from Slate.
Serves as a back-up to provide assistance for other CRM-related processes, including:
- Completes data uploads of inquiries of prospective students from vendors, events and counselor travel
- Maintains the admissions CRM, including views, reports, dashboards, portals, and all other entities.
- Manages user access and adds new population groups as needed;
- Develops and updates user roles and custom permissions for staff and faculty;
- Provides training for Slate and other admissions-related technology;
- Creates, tests, sends, and tracks automated admissions digital and email communications.
Assists with the creation and editing (as needed) of standard
operating procedures related to application processing.
May serve on university committees. Other duties and special
projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Demonstrated capacity for independent work and problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and follow up in a timely manner
- Demonstrated excellent technical writing and communication skills, with specific skills in creating step by step instructions for technical activities
- One year of experience working with a CRM
- Willing and able to work evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Demonstrated ability working with relational databases, and interpreting, analyzing and reporting data
- Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in a technical environment
- Experience working with Technolutions Slate CRM
- Experience working with Ellucian Banner
This is a grant-funded position contingent on budgetary approvals and annual renewal of system funding through Vision 2028 grants.
