Western New England University is seeking applications for a Chief Human Resources Officer.  The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will serve as the lead Human Resources executive for the University and oversee all aspects of Human Resources. The CHRO will create human resources programming and service delivery to align with organizational strategy, goals and objectives. Acting as a strategic business partner, the CHRO focuses on designing an employer brand to attract, and retain key talent, and motivates and influences community members to be brand ambassadors. The CHRO will build a diverse leadership and talent pipeline to ensure adaptability of University operations when responding to internal and external challenges and opportunities. The CHRO is a people and process advisor to key stakeholders across the organization and contributes to results through performance management and development of accountability measures. The CHRO is an advocate for all employees, encourages meaningful employee engagement and is instrumental in building a culture of trust, respect and positive morale.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The CHRO will be an enthusiastic and collaborative leader, possess an advanced degree, and have at least ten years of experience in a senior human resources position. The CHRO will have a record of accomplishment and proven performance in delivering innovative human resource programs, preferably in a higher education setting. The CHRO will have effective negotiation skills and have experience with shared governance and laws and regulations relevant to higher education.

The CHRO will have strong business acumen and general management experience. They will also have excellent oral and written communications skills, effective organizational and supervisory skills and a record of being able to work effectively with people from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

Master's degree required.
