Working with the School faculty and under the direction of the Director of the Gildart Haase School of Computer Sciences and Engineering ( GHSCSE ), the Coordinator of Outcome Assessment and Program Accreditation oversees and conducts outcome assessment for all the GHSCSE programs in order to help improve the programs; ensure students meet the program objectives and outcomes; support student learning and retention; enhance students’ academic and career success; fulfill the needs of program constituencies; and meet accreditation requirements. The Coordinator also arranges program reviews by external reviewers when required by the University. Responsibilities include overseeing the assessment workflow and process; coordinating assessment work with the administrators, directors, deputy directors, program coordinators, faculty and staff from GHSCSE and other units at the University; participating in development of policies, standards, and procedures; conducting student, alumni, and employer surveys; assisting faculty in conducting direct assessment of program outcomes; training faculty in the use of assessment tools and the development of rubrics, evaluation instruments, and analysis reports; collecting and storing data properly; analyzing, summarizing, and reporting the assessment results to faculty and program constituencies, including industrial advisory boards; organizing students’ work samples and faculty’s assessment reports for accreditation team site visits; and preparing assessment reports, including self-study reports, for university and program accreditations. Required Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, information technology, mathematics, or any related fields. A master’s degree is preferred.

2. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.

3. Strong computer skills, particularly in database development and management.

4. Experience with, and knowledge of, outcome assessment practices and technologies, including learning outcome assessment systems, course management systems, and web-based assessment tools.

5. Knowledge of issues on student data privacy, appropriate use of student data, and research involving human subjects.

6. Knowledge of statistical procedures and software for analyzing student outcome assessment.

7. Strong organizational skills.

8. Strong oral and written communication and editing skills. Excellent attention to detail is a must.

9. Strong interpersonal, team building, and networking skills.

10. Familiarity with computer science, information technology, mathematics, engineering, or engineering technology programs and ABET accreditation requirements is highly desirable.

11. Must be willing and able to work variable hours, including late evenings and weekends.

12. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
