J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (Reynolds) invites applications for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer (VPAA/CAO). Reporting directly to the College President, the VPAA/CAO will be an experienced, inspirational, and visionary academic leader responsible for fostering and sustaining an academic culture that promotes collaboration, innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. The VPAA/CAO will also have a strong commitment to equitable opportunities and outcomes for all students, particularly for underrepresented populations. The VPAA/CAO will serve as the chief academic officer and provide leadership for the implementation of the college’s strategic goals to enhance student learning and success. Serving as a key member of the President’s Executive Cabinet, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer (VPAA/CAO) has the opportunity to lead the academic enterprise during a period of significant institutional transformation in a rapidly changing higher education landscape. The role calls for an experienced leader who is skilled at working collaboratively with leadership across organization lines, and inspiring and leading faculty to develop and adopt strategies that will increase student learning and success and close equity gaps.

Salary range: $140,000 -$155,000. Salary commensurate with the education and experience of the applicant. Application reviews will begin January 18, 2022. Anticipated start date is May 2022.
