Job Description:
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for support of the HRIS system
(currently Oracle) and it's users. This role is responsible for
maintaining the HRIS system, implementing process improvements,
ensuring data quality and analyzing and reporting on data. Through
understanding and translating business priorities your work will
impact the way Champlain does business every day. In this unique
position you will be privy to confidential information and a high
level of discretion is required.
Champlain operates in partnership with Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium (GMHEC). GMHEC is an endeavor of three Vermont Colleges with a focus on collaboration of administrative services common to all three institutions to create greater efficiency and help to reduce costs over the long term while increasing service levels of our member institutions. The HRIS Analyst represents Champlain on several GMHEC projects involving the implementation, maintenance, use, and support of the HRIS system.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS
- Research, test and monitor HRIS system updates, fixes and capabilities
- Create, edit, and maintain process documentation for HRIS system
- Serve as the primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a technical perspective
Reporting & Analytics
- Report out metrics to members of the institution
- Share data in response to Department of Labor issued requests
- Collaborate to develop and design new required functionality, create complex reports, design analytics and dashboard, and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities
- Assist with creation and production documents in support of business initiatives
Customer Support
- Provide training and coaching to end-users to support application utilization
- Troubleshoot user experience issues for internal customers
Payroll
- Collaborate with HR senior leadership and Finance to define business processes and analyze operational efficiencies
- As the key point of system data entry, you will support Payroll through accurate payments and payroll validation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-organized with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
- Understanding of HR policies and procedures
- Higher Ed experience preferred
