The College of Communication and Information (CCI) at Kent State University (KSU), located in Kent, Ohio, invites applications for Professional Development Project Coordinator. This position will report to a designated administrator in the CCI Dean’s Office.
The Professional Development Project Coordinator position will provide coordination, project management, and support for the day-to-day operation of professional and career development and internship programming and services for undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Communication and Information (CCI). The College of Communication and Information (CCI) at Kent State University is made up of five distinct schools, including the School of Communication Studies, the School of Emerging Media and Technology, the School of Information, the School of Media and Journalism, and the School of Visual Communication Design. CCI is the only college in the nation to combine a mix of technology, design, media, communication, and information-related majors and career paths.
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum two years' professional experience with project coordination, project management and/or career and professional development.
Knowledge Of: Desktop software (i.e., Microsoft Office products); Higher education organizational structure; Career development process and available career development resources
Skill In: Management of data related to diverse student populations and career development initiatives; Written, verbal and interpersonal communications; Implementing projects and assessment of program initiatives; Data management
Ability To: Work with diverse populations of students; Communicate effectively; Independently manage multiple projects and functions and prioritize workflow
