The College of Communication and Information (CCI) at Kent State University (KSU), located in Kent, Ohio, invites applications for Diversity Project Coordinator.  This position will report to a designated administrator in the CCI Dean’s Office.    

The Diversity Project Coordinator will support CCI leadership through coordination and project management of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) programs and initiatives across the college. This position will provide coordination, project management, and support for the day-to-day operation of success programs and support services for diverse student populations in the College of Communication and Information (CCI). Diversity in CCI includes, but is not limited to, race, color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, socio- economic status, natural origin, ancestry, ability, genetic information, age, and military status.

Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Must have experience working with diverse populations. Minimum two years' professional experience in project coordination and/or project management.

Knowledge Of: Desktop software (i.e., Microsoft Office products); Higher education organizational structure; Student success practices for promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging

Skill In: Management of data related to diverse student populations and success initiatives; Written, verbal and interpersonal communication; Organizing information and projects; Implementing projects and assessment of program initiatives

Ability To: Work with diverse populations of students; Communicate effectively; Independently manage multiple projects and functions and prioritize workflow
