Master’s in Art/Design with at least 18 graduate level credits in qualifying field. Portfolio must demonstrate proficiency in Graphic Design practices and Studio Art. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Maintaining a professional design and/or studio practice and/or scholarly research. Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; may be required to work different shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs. Compensation Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Special Instructions to Applicants

Positions contingent on budget-appropriated. Position available Fall 2022 unless otherwise approved. This position teaches at both campuses Penn Valley & Longview.

  4. Please include a link to an online/digital portfolio on your resume, or a PDF of 15-20 works (no larger than 3Mb) that represents the scope of work in studio and graphic design. Candidates selected to interview will be required to conduct a brief teaching demonstration. More specific information regarding that process will be provided.

Brief Description of Duties:
Deliver effective instruction.
Assessment of student learning.
Manage classes and learning environments – Foster a positive classroom-learning environment by presenting information in a way that is inclusive to all learners.
Support learning through student engagement – Incorporate pedagogical strategies such as active learning, authentic and problem-based activities, and other successful teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
Provide student guidance.
Pursue professional development and remain current in academic field.
Evidence of teamwork and collaborative efforts. Work with administration and faculty colleagues to promote the program to area constituencies, and work toward continued growth of the program.
Actively participate collegially in department, campus, cross-college, discipline-specific, district, and community service activities.
