Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Geography in the Department of Geography and Anthropology. This position begins August 1, 2022.  

 

The Lecturer of Geography will teach undergraduate general education courses in physical geography including Weather and Climate, Introduction to Landforms, and program electives.  Additional duties include service to the department, college, university, and/or professional community.

 

Excellence in teaching and engagement is expected of all faculty members in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU. Faculty in the Department teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.

 

A Master's, Ph.D., or other terminal degree, or a foreign equivalent, in Geography or a closely related field is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • An earned doctoral degree, or a foreign equivalent, in Geography or a closely related field
  • Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and ethnically diverse community
  • Experience teaching in hybrid or on-line modalities
  • Ability to teach the general education course Resources, Society, and the Environment or Introduction to GIS
