Job Summary: Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned classes. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction.

Adjunct faculty must develop instructional methods for their assigned course(s). The instructional methods must pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s of Art in Graphic and Interactive Design, or related disciplines.
Three plus years of work experience in graphic and interactive design.
Three years of classroom teaching experience at the high school or college level.

Hiring Range: Current per credit hour minimum

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Art 144, Graphic Design I:
    In this course, students learn the basics of graphic and layout design for print and web. While Adobe InDesign is the main tool, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are taught.

    The successful candidate will offer evidence of graphic design for print and web by presenting a portfolio of work.
  • Art 130, Design Presentation: The successful candidate will offer evidence of graphic design and photography by presenting a portfolio of work.
