Coordinator of Regional Recruitment, West Coast (124080)

This is a remote position. The candidate must live in the Greater
Los Angeles Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Coordinator of Regional Recruitment-West Coast serves in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions within the division of Enrollment Management and represents the University to prospective students, their families, campus constituents, community- based organizations, high school and community college counselors in California. Residing in the region, the Coordinator develops and implements recruitment activities to meet enrollment goals and conducts a holistic review of freshman, transfer, and international applicants for admissions, scholarships, and special programs.
Residing in the Greater Los Angeles area, The Coordinator of
Regional Recruitment is primary responsible for: Planning
recruitment activities including high school and community college
visits, college fairs, workshops, and
yield events. Establishing and maintaining relationships with high
school counselors, community college counselors, and
community-based organizations. Counseling prospective students and
their families on the admissions process and enrollment steps.
Preparing statistical reports and analyses; Engaging and training
local alumni volunteer recruiters. Partnering with the Alumni
Association to execute successful recruitment and/or yield events.
Working some evening and weekends hours for various recruitment and
admissions events. Traveling to campus several times a year for
training and retreat activities. Performing other duties as
assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or
university.
EXPERIENCE
2 years’ experience in admissions or an admissions-related unit in
higher education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Understanding of the needs and concerns of the college search and
selection process
– Exceptional ability to work independently; Excellent written and
verbal communication skills
– Highly organized and long-range planning skills; Attention to
detail
– Experience with recruitment in a higher education setting;
Experience working with volunteers
– Comfort working in a high volume, deadline driven office; A valid
state driver’s license is required
PREFERENCES:
Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish
proficiently.
