Job Description:

The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor. Primary responsibilities will involve service and clinical teaching in surgical pathology. The position requires subspecialty fellowship expertise in bone and soft tissue pathology and experience in frozen section analysis in bone and soft tissue tumors. The successful candidate will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in accredited programs within Pathology. Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is encouraged.

Primary responsibilities will involve service and clinical teaching in surgical pathology, with a divided focus on bone and soft tissue pathology and an additional subspecialty of interest. The University of Florida/Shands/UF Health Care affiliated institutions present a rich diversity of inpatient and outpatient clinical material. The successful applicant will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in accredited programs within Pathology. Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is expected

Expected Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP, and possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license. Candidate should also have a track record of publication and clinical research activity.The position requires subspecialty fellowship expertise in bone and soft tissue pathology and experience in frozen section analysis in bone and soft tissue tumors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fellowship training in Bone/Soft Tissue pathology
