Job Summary
The Department of Art at Elmhurst University in the greater Chicago area seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach in-person Graphic Design courses in the Spring 2022 semester. Spring 2022 semester begins January 31st, 2022, and concludes May 19th, 2022.
Essential Functions
Adjunct faculty will teach one or more graphic design courses at 200-level and above. The successful candidate will have professional experience in graphic design and be knowledgeable of emerging technologies and trends.

- ART226 Typography Studio—Mondays & Wednesdays @ 10:30am–12:10pm and
- ART325 Visual Communications—Wednesdays 6:30pm–9:50pm

Minimum Qualifications
- The candidate should possess the academic credentials and professional experience necessary to teach courses in graphic design.
- Master’s degree in graphic design, communication design, interactive design or equivalent (or expected by Spring 2022).
- Minimum of one-year college-level teaching experience
- Online portfolio showcasing professional experience in graphic design
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud software specifically: Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign
