Position Purpose: The Nursing Clinical and Credential
Coordinator supports learning through recruiting and coordinating
clinical sites for nursing students, as well as managing credential
data to comply with accreditation requirements.

functions and performing other duties and functions as necessary or
as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists with the identification and evaluation of potential
clinical sites. Evaluates the clinical sites for appropriateness of
achieving course and program learning objectives.
Develops and maintains clinical partnership contract data.
Develops and maintains relationships with clinical facilities
and serves as the liaison with the clinical agencies for student
placement.
Populates all clinical placements for nursing students. Sends
final schedule and data requirements to the course coordinator,
clinical sites, and adjunct faculty.
Develops and maintains a directory of adjunct faculty and
student health requirements for each clinical facility.
Manages and maintains accurate and up-to-date faculty and
student credential data to comply with accreditation, State of
Illinois, and clinical agencies requirements. Follows up with
faculty and students to make sure they are up to date with
requirements.
Recruits adjunct faculty for clinical sites.
Coordinates university, School of Nursing, and clinical site
orientation for adjunct faculty.
Develops and maintains a directory of requirements and
procedures for all clinical agencies.
Assures clinical faculty submits their evaluations.
Follows up with clinical facilities regarding any incidents
that affect patients or clinical site processes.
Assists with updates to the handbook and clinical resource
guide.
Assists with collecting and analyzing data to help complete
AACN, IDFPR, university, and School of Nursing reporting
requirements.
Maintains an accurate student list assuring progression
standards are met each semester.
Assists the Admission Committee with School of Nursing student
admission process.
Essential Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Nursing required; MSN preferred.
Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience as a registered nurse,
previous higher education experience preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent
problem-solving and conflict-management skills, strong computer
skills, particularly database software, excellent organizational
skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, moving about campus, computer use,
technology use.
