Responsibilities: The Instructor of Project and Stage Management works with the Arts Team to manage the rehearsal room for all production work including main stage theater productions and capstone projects. They will also mentor and advise students on stage management for all student-led and classroom projects. In addition, they will supervise all theater program rehearsal inventory, perform general maintenance and upkeep for rehearsal spaces, and advocate for best practices within rehearsals and performance strategies for students, faculty, and guest artists. Responsibilities include but are not limited to areas such as: stage management, development of best practices, writing rehearsal and production reports, attending each theater production and project and call lighting and stage cues as needed, facilitating the audition process, managing inventory and inventory planning, providing academic support and general support as needed. Additionally, as a professional stage manager, the instructor lends mentorship and oversight to the other curricular, extracurricular, and co-curricular projects born out of the theater program, as needed and planned for.

Division of Assignment to Theater and to the Division: While 80% of responsibilities are specifically within the Theater Program, an interdisciplinary and forward-thinking program, the remaining 20% will be in support of other areas within the Division. This is an expansive role: we are looking for a professional stage manager who is capable of taking their work (and transliterating it) to other programs and areas within the division.
