Provide quality customer service to faculty, staff, student, alumni, and visitors shopping at the Campus Store, either online or in person.
Receives and merchandises incoming stock, verifying that counts, UPC’s, ticketing and pricing is correct prior to merchandise appearing on the sales floor.
Identifies problems and communicates discrepancies to supervisor.
Monitors incoming stock to ensure it appears available for sale on Campus Store website.
Creates compelling merchandise displays and rotates stock to keep the sales floor fresh, clean, and attractive, with items easy to locate.
Assists customers with selections on the sales floor, on the phone and by email, with the ability to answer merchandise questions in an accurate and knowledgeable manner and recommend appropriate products to match their needs.
Selects prepares and processes merchandise to fill online orders, using store operating system to verify proper item selection and update order status.
Assesses inventory levels and communicates stock needs and customer requests to supervisor and buying staff.
Operates store POS equipment and processes transactions efficiently and accurately, always cognizant of store promotions and policies.
Acts as a mentor to student staff, assigns tasks and provides guidance and remediation. Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years retail experience, preferably in a large complex retail environment.
Ability to work with multifaceted point of sale system.
Advanced experience with cash handling.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Is organized, accurate, creative, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Able to lift to 50 lbs.
High School diploma required. Job Specific Qualifications
Knowledge of and ability to accurately utilize point of sale system ( POS ).
Knowledge of relevant Microsoft Office applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities
