Interview Process

The interview process for this position will consist of three phases. Applicants who complete the application process and meet the position minimum requirements will be invited to interview in phase 1. Candidates will be notified of their status after each phase to confirm if they are moving forward in the selection process.
  • Phase 1: 30-minute interview with the search committee
  • Phase 2: 30-minute interview with the search committee (different questions will be asked), 30-minute written exercise; 30-minute presentation with the Office of College Advancement team
  • Phase 3: 30-minute interview with the vice president of college advancement (this phase will occur if you do not engage with the vice president of college advancement in phase 1 or 2; if you do engage with the vice president of college advancement in phase 1 or 2, phase 3 will not be necessary)
This position will be open until filled.

Job Summary: This position serves as the College’s representative within assigned regions, with responsibility for building strategic relationships with local businesses, educational institutions, community and nonprofit organizations. Serving as a community liaison, the regional executive will identify, build and maintain community partnerships within assigned regions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, five years of relevant experience or equivalency in business development, community engagement, relationship management and/or results-driven field, two years of relevant experience in customer relationship management or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Hiring Range: $63,526 - $80,996

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, web conferencing tools, project management and relationship management software and tools
- Knowledge of event planning and event management logistics

Job Specific Task List:
  • Build strategic relationships with stakeholders from local businesses, educational institutions, community and nonprofit organizations by proactively engaging one-on-one with community leaders - (Essential)
  • Be the College’s point of contact at chamber of commerce and industry meetings, community events and focus groups within the region - (Essential)
  • Engage community partners and gauge their education and training needs; align and connect opportunities with College resources - (Essential)
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the education and/or training programs provided by HACC and the critical points of contact within the College for developing and delivering these opportunities - (Essential)
  • Conduct business development, strategic community engagement and donor identification activities with an emphasis on revenue generation - (Essential)
  • Encourage new partnerships by participating in community alliances, committees and initiatives within specified regions - (Essential)
  • Collaborate with HACC units to align community initiatives with the College’s strategic plan - (Essential)
  • Identify potential new programs and sponsorship opportunities within the region - (Essential)
  • Perform other duties as assigned - (Standard)
