Job Description Summary

The Administrative and Budget Associate provides quality customer service for Prince George’s Community College, Student Engagement and Leadership operation. Responsible for Accounts Receivables ledgers, complete and accurate reports on the Owl Ad Commission, tickets, trip and sales, grant accounts, and daily ledgers on supplies and printing. Ensures adherence to the fiscal controls on expenditures for the student activity fund as specified by the Student Affairs Finance Board and the purchasing and disbursing procedures of the College. Responsible for the daily opening of the Student Engagement and Leadership office.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Three to four years of related experience or required course work/certification and/or specialized skills/training. Or a combination of relevant higher education and experience.
  3. Evidence of experience in the preparation and typing of reports, memorandum, and letters.
  4. Evidence of knowledge of budget, fiscal or financial automated systems.

Job Requirements

Must be available to work 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work some weekends. The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written Standard English. Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office-related equipment, such as but not limited to a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
