Position Summary Information

SUMMARY : The Assistant Athletics Director for Ticketing will oversee the day-to-day operations of the box office including, but not limited to, ticket operations, sales initiatives, staffing and customer service. The position reports to the Associate Athletics Director for External Relations and will collaborate effectively with marketing, communications, media productions and development for the overall success of the athletics department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department.
2. Responsible for managing and operating the ticketing system (currently Paciolan/TicketsWest), which includes, but is not limited to, event building, ticket and promotion configuration, user security, ticket design and proofing.
3. Primary liaison with ticket system vendor to ensure all hardware and software are working efficiently for staff and customer use.
4. Provide exceptional customer service, conflict resolution and enforcement of NCAA regulations as they relate to ticketing for home competitions to include recruits, high school coaches, players, families, general public, boosters and donors.
5. Oversee communication plan with customers across all outlets: walk-up, phone, and digital.
6. Implement individual game, season ticket, and group sales strategies for athletic ticketed sporting events with an emphasis on growing fan base and revenue.
7. Assist with design and implementation of all comprehensive season ticket and group sales strategies.
8. Manage the hiring, training and supervision of the ticket sales staff, including the Assistant Director of Ticketing and Sales.
9. Supervise work-study students, interns, or graduate assistants assigned to this area in accordance with University and Federal and State regulations.
10. Coordinate with various members of the athletics department including, but not limited to: marketing, communications, media productions, development, facilities and event management.
11. Coordinate event logistics as needed with other event staff to ensure operational readiness, efficiency and resource utilization for the consistent delivery of services related to ticketing and front of house event operations.
12. Prepares regular ticket sales audits and reports to reflect revenue and attendance at events.
13. Communicate with donors, public, students, and faculty-staff on a regular basis to resolve seating needs, complaints and staff support.
14. Directs the operation and administration of the ticket sales staff including the development of action plans, strategic goal setting, staff performance management and professional development, budget planning and expense monitoring.
15. Responsible for supporting University-related ticketed events including, but not limited to, commencement ceremonies, the annual Christmas concert, and sports camps and clinics.
16. Monitors, verifies and reconciles events with detailed financial statements.
17. Assists with development and execution of sales and marketing plans.
18. Develops and manages annual budgets for the department.
19. Maintains policies and procedures manual for ticketing office.
20. Adhere to all institutional, conference and NCAA by-laws and regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. § Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
§ Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
§ Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
§ Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns. Education and/or Experience
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
