Official Title: Early Childhood Education Associate Director Business Title: Early Childhood Coordinator Employment Class: Academic Staff FTE: .885 Compensation: $52,624-53,812 base salary. $46,552.63-47,672.34 actual salary for .885 FTE (46 weeks approx last week in July to 2nd week in June) FLSA Status: Exempt Terms of Employment: Fixed Term Terminal Position Summary: Primary responsibility supporting high quality early childhood programming and oversight at 1-2 centers. Supervise, support, and provide resources and training to staff in the areas of child development, curriculum implementation, staff development, classroom/behavior management, record keeping. Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of program activities and parent meetings. Identify and support the special needs of children (disabilities, social/emotional health, dual language learning) with assistance from specialists and coaches. Network and collaborate with leadership team and professionals in community. Provides leadership and accountability for designated area. Responsibilities

A. Coordination and oversight of high quality early childhood programming for children to stimulate approaches to learning and growth in social emotional development, physical development, language, literacy, and communication, mathematics, creative arts, science and technology and social studies through strong adult-child interactions, inviting learning environments, consistent daily routines, and active, hands-on learning experiences.

B. Participate in leading a team of professionals with a strong vision for quality in line with the mission and vision of the program. Coordinate parent involvement and collaborate in the community.

C. Supports operations of site and supervision of staff.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum BS Early Childhood Education or BS relevant degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children.
Experience/knowledge in leading, mentoring and supporting effective high quality child services.
Demonstrated knowledge of observational based assessment methods and implementation of early childhood curriculum.
Experience in implementation of standards and regulations.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and familiar with Google Drive.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred: Head Start experience.
Knowledge and experience with developmental screenings and work with children having disabilities or impairments.
Knowledge of Family Services philosophy.
Experience/knowledge in areas of human resources, management and supervision.
Knowledge of Wisconsin Child Care licensing regulations or Head Start performance standards.
Skills and knowledge in accessing appropriate community resources;
Knowledge of High/Scope curriculum, Pyramid Model or Conscious Discipline
Proficient in use of Child Plus or Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG). To Apply:
