Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Video Support Services. The Coordinator of Television Programming is responsible for leading the coordination of personnel in video production and live streaming for the College. This position is also involved in the production process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performance Requirements*
  • Assists and advises faculty, staff, and administration with video productions and live streaming
  • Responsible for all phases of video production for the College, this includes but is not limited to the areas of directing, editing, lighting, audio, teleprompter – in the field or in the studio
  • Responsible for all phases of live streaming production for the College, this includes but is not limited to the areas of setup (equipment and live stream URL – Video-on-demand system, Youtube Live, Zoom or Microsoft Teams), coordination of production personnel, coordinating with the local Campus Support Department
  • Recommends audio and video equipment, computer software/hardware, and materials for use in television production facilities
General Supervision and Management
  • Provides leadership for all video production personnel
  • Routinely prepares and reviews reports on the Video Support Services Production Team
Service Excellence
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College ( TCC ) Institute
  • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity, and service to the College
  • Supports the mission, values, and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College
* Performs other related tasks as required.

SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the Director of Video Support Services.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Production and five (5) years of experience in video production or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
  • One (1) year of experience supervising employees (e.g., managing, evaluating performance of others; leading projects or processes)
Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
  • Master’s degree in Mass Communications, Radio- Television
  • 10 years of experience in video production or a related field
  • Apple Certified Pro- Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Certified Associate ( ACA ), and Digital Video Engineering Professional ( DVEP )
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately to staff to meet College and campus deliverables
  • Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
