Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,500 - $3,700 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,288 - $6,347 per month
  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, Administration and Global Operations, the employee is responsible for a variety of clerical, administrative, and analytical assignments supporting Division operations. Primary duties include the administration of all CGE-related accounting and finance information and the preparation of routine financial transactions, financial reports and audit reconciliations. This position is also tasked with providing support for day-to-day financial operations as needed, including support for all CGE-related programming, along with year-end closing responsibilities for the Division.

Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of fiscal analysis and budgeting techniques
  • Knowledge of computer office systems and the ability to use a broad range of technology, systems, and software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Google, etc.)
  • Analyze and review budget and financial practices to provide recommendations to management
  • Independent decision making and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex budget information in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and projects under competing deadlines and maintain flexibility in response to constantly shifting priorities

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent training and administrative work experience can be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Three years of professional experience performing financial analysis, monitoring or preparing budgets, or related relevant experience.


Department Summary

The Division of Continuing and Global Education at Fresno State serves as the University's hub of access and innovation, providing educational opportunities to a wide array of audiences that would not be otherwise served by the institution. Through delegated authority, the Associate Dean, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs, and the Director of Finance, Administration and Global Operations oversee the academic and administrative functions of the Division, respectively.
