Biola University invites nominations and applications for the position of provost and senior vice president.

Located in Southern California in the city of La Mirada, Biola is a conservative Christian university that provides biblically, Christ-centered education through a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, equipping students in mind and character to make a difference in the world for Christ. Since its founding in 1908, Biola University has risen to a place of prominence on the global landscape, growing in the past decades to its current enrollment of over 5,500 students from dozens of nations. Biola University offers more than 150 academic programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral level. With an outstanding faculty, the university has distinguished itself in scholarship and academic excellence.

Biola University seeks a provost and senior vice president with the ability to engage and lead faculty (and prospective faculty) in the articulation of a mission-grounded vision for Biola University as a faithful and future-focused university. This chief academic officer will work closely with the president, faculty and senior administration by envisioning and overseeing the leadership of all academic programs, new and strengthened. Going forward, Biola University will make some defining decisions, and the provost and senior vice president will be a key player in leading the university to live into their aspirations. This leader will have a fire in his/her spirit for Christian education and will be able to navigate the intricacies of a complex Christ-centered and biblically faithful university as it continues its trajectory toward living faithfully to its time-honored mission. The provost and senior vice president will directly report to the president.
