COVID-19 vaccinations are now required for all Oakland University
students, faculty and staff.
The Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB)
is seeking applicants for an open rank tenure-track faculty
position in the newly formed Population Health Informatics program.
The candidate must have: 1) a strong track record in research and
teaching, 2) experience working with clinical data and in
multi-disciplinary teams including clinicians, and 3) a commitment
to advancing a culture of diversity and inclusion as well as
serving a diverse population. The academic training and research
focus areas are flexible and may include disciplines such as
population health, epidemiology, health systems research,
healthcare economics, health informatics, clinical decision support
systems, and/or data science. The candidate will be expected to
maintain a strong research program while contributing to graduate
and medical school curriculum and instruction. In addition, the
candidate will be expected to work with diverse, interdisciplinary
teams of researchers and clinicians at OUWB, Oakland University and
Beaumont Health to develop and implement innovative solutions to
improve health outcomes. Beaumont Health encompasses 9 hospitals
and 145 outpatient sites across the Detroit area, and serves nearly
2 million patients.
