The University of Southern Mississippi, School of Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences invites applications for 2 full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professors in Biological Sciences to begin August 2022. For position one (req2404) we seek individuals with a specialization and ability to teach Introductory Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. For position two (req2405) we seek individuals with a specialization and ability to teach Anatomy and Physiology and advanced physiology courses. 

Minimum qualifications for these positions include an earned doctoral degree in Biological Sciences or closely related field from an accredited institution and proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to, prior experience in teaching university-level biology courses, proficiency with the Canvas Learning Management System, evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., summary of evaluations [student, peer, and/or supervisor]), and evidence of instructional development (e.g., details of course development and/or participation in teaching-related workshops or conferences).
