Shenandoah University’s Purchasing & Accounts Payable Department is accepting applications for a Purchasing & Accounts Payable Assistant. This is a full-time benefited position located in the Bowman Building, downtown Winchester, Virginia.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing of requisitions and purchase orders
  • Invoice and disbursement checks processing
  • Processing/managing purchasing cards
  • Various administrative/office tasks to support the daily operations of the department
Required Skills

Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, Google and Ellucian experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and to be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and ability to provide superior customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals
  • Knowledge of purchasing, accounts payable, and/or general accounting preferred
  • A minimum of 1-3 years work experience is required and/or 2-3 years college education is preferred
