Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of large scale, strategic, and cross-functional technology initiatives from project initiation through implementation and completion. The Sr. Project Manager (SPM) works closely and collaboratively with stakeholders to plan, direct, organize, and execute against project requirements. The SPM also works with IS leadership to identify, acquire and coordinate necessary resources to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes. He/she is responsible for monitoring and reporting project status—including risks, issues affecting project schedules, and milestone achievements—to the Director of the Project Management Office and stakeholders. The SPM develops project plans and schedules and ensures projects meet departmental requirements, standards, policies, and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of five years Project Management experience
Minimum of five years’ experience using integrated database information systems
PMP certification
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Highly self-motivated and directed
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
A working knowledge of Ellucian Banner software system or similar college administration software system
Experience training groups or individuals regarding the use of computers and related technology
