Job Description:

Teacher Education faculty are responsible for:

  • Delivering content and learning activities in teacher education courses via multiple modalities, e.g. face to face,online, et. al.;
  • Participation in curriculum development as student, college and departmental needs evolve;
  • On-campus student support;
  • Use of technology to enhance learning;
  • Outcomes assessment;
  • Working with diverse populations of students, especially underrepresented students;
  • Academic advisement;
  • Service to the college in a variety of capacities.




  • Master's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood or Adolescence Education or Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate level credits in Early Childhood and 3 years of experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College teaching experience, specifically early childhood
  • Membership in NAEYC
  • Experience in college curriculum development
  • Experience in course level, program level and institutional level assessment
