Job Summary
This position will be located at Mt. Meigs, AL. and is a one-year limited term appointment. Continuation of employment will be contingent upon availability of funding.
Provides psychotherapy, both group and individual, to juveniles who have been adjudicated for sex offenses, as well as psycho education group and family therapy.
Essential Functions
The mental health specialist provides clinical services to adolescents with illegal sexual behavior and their families through a residential program. The primary responsibilities of this individual are to complete initial treatment assessments of juvenile sex offenders, conduct risk assessments, help formulate individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive psychological treatment services. This position is primarily to provide individual, group, and family treatment services for juvenile offenders.

Salary Range: $35,000 – $58,400
Level III requires Masters degree and four years of experience providing mental health services to adolescents.
Salary Range: $39,300 – $65,500

Must be licensed or license eligible by the State of Alabama in counseling, social work or psychology. License must be obtained within one year of employment.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in a recognized mental health field with an emphasis in psychological treatment of adolescents; experience with mental health issues with adolescents; experience in conducting psychological treatment with a juvenile offender population.
