The School of Music at Ball State University invites applications for full-time contract, non tenure-line position in Musicology, with a specialization in American music or popular music from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and World music, beginning in August 2022. We seek applicants who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with diverse student populations.

Description
The teaching load for this position is four courses in each semester and will include classes ranging from appreciation to graduate level. Other teaching duties based on programmatic need and the expertise of the hired individual may also be assigned. Candidates who are ABD from an accredited, PhD-granting institution will be considered although candidates with a PhD are preferred. On-campus interviews will not take place, so we may require a video demonstrating your teaching ability (again for those candidates who advance in the process). Minimum Qualifications
ABD in musicology from an accredited PhD-granting institution by date of employment; demonstrated potential for excellence in college-level teaching and demonstrated potential for significant contributions in the area of research.
Authorization to work in the US
