Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,233 to $4,600 per month

Full classification Salary Range: $4,233 to $9,514 per month

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the Interim Manager of Academic Personnel 's general direction, the Faculty Affairs Confidential Analyst is a resource, providing guidance and training to others related to campus policies, collective bargaining agreements, state and federal laws, and regulations. This position also serves as a liaison to payroll, benefits, colleges, and various departments across campus. In addition, this position. This position also assists in grievance preparation in a team-based environment.

Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge of campus, system, state, and federal policies on employment related to units 3 and 11
  • Knowledge and skills in information processing, data maintenance, report writing, and analysis of data associated with operating and maintaining an HRMS
  • Knowledge of employment or payroll service functions and processes
  • Ability to:
    • Comprehend and integrate regulations, policies, and procedures for employment transactions
    • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of multiple HR functional processes
    • Make recommendations and maintain confidentiality
    • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team-oriented environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
    • Accurately assess complex employment transactions and apply the appropriate code(s), rules, or other policies.
    • Accurately assess the personnel action and evaluate the impact on benefits, absence management, and other systems to ensure employees receive timely and accurate enrollment
    • Conduct research and provide analysis of HR processes

Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited College or University and directly related work experience as described below, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position's essential functions.
  • Required professional experience demonstrating:
    • Ability to coordinate and complete complex tasks/projects, including problem-solving
    • Program policy research, analysis, application, communications, reporting, and evaluation using technological applications.

This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
