Under the direction of the Director of Systems, the Systems Administrator will be involved in the administration, licensing and deployment of new and existing services that are part of the Office 365 platform.   This includes but is not limited to managing mail flow, user and group management, and various security tools within Office 365 which support the overall academic mission of the university.   This position will be part of the University Systems and Networking team that supports and manages the IT infrastructure of the University.  
1.      Manage and monitor Office 365 services and infrastructure.  This includes management of security tools for anti-spam and antivirus.   2.      Support end-users by troubleshooting Office 365 services and performance issues on PCs, Macs and mobile devices in a timely and professional manner. 3.      Assist with Cloud Collaboration related projects, including but not limited to the deployment of future Office 365 technologies by FDUs project and change management processes. 4.      Become University Subject Matter Expert on all offered 'tiles'.  Build Application matrix to guide end users in choosing which Office 365 products are best suited for their computing and collaboration needs. 5.      Key interface with Academic Technologies team to deploying Office 365 applications into the classroom environment. 6.      Identify opportunities, recommend products and solutions, and create roadmap to improve the security, reliability, and efficiency of our existing Office 365 infrastructure.                                                                                                                                                     7.      Creation and ongoing maintenance of Office 365 policies and procedure documentation. 8.      Ensure all changes are made in accordance with FDU's change control, security and risk assessment policies. 9.      Experience utilizing various backup software in a virtualized environment like Veeam.  Ability to review troubleshoot and restore systems from backup software as needed. 10.   Maintains a working knowledge of continuing developments in the field of Computer Security. 11.   Analyzes information and evaluates results to recommend process improvements, choose effective solutions, and solve problems.   12.   Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. 13.   Maintains broad technical knowledge of current and emerging technologies.   14.   Flexibility to work required hours to address critical department needs, on call 24 hours per day, 365 days per year with defined response time 24 hours, except when on vacation. 15.   Performs other related duties as requested by the Director of Systems.
