Development Associate, Greater Washington DC

The Development Associate, Greater Washington, DC Metro Area will provide high-end administrative and program support of the fundraising efforts on behalf of the Greater Washington, DC Metro Area Advancement Team. This position will assist with the operational needs of the DC Advancement Team. The Development Associate will coordinate administrative activities, including contact with the public, making travel arrangements, scheduling appointments and meetings, and processing memoranda for the Principal Gifts Officer as well as for the AVP as needed. Reporting to the Principal Gifts Officer, this position will assist in composing correspondence to follow up with donors and staff, serve as point of contact and liaison for the Principal Gifts Officer when traveling, answer questions, researches answers, and/or refers to other offices when appropriate. Represents the Principal Gifts Officer and the Greater Washington, DC Area Advancement Team by greeting guests and answering telephone inquiries and emails from donors and university executives in a friendly, knowledgeable manner, maintaining confidentiality in all their work.
