The Department of Computer Science at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall semester 2022. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Computer Science or Information Systems are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Cyber Security, Intelligent Systems, Information Systems, Computer Systems, or Data Science.

PFW is the largest university in northeast Indiana. The Computer Science department has nine tenured and tenure-track faculty, three full-time lecturers, and over 400 students in four different undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department is ABET-accredited in Computer Science.

Requirements for the position are: hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field by the beginning of the 2022 fall semester; a strong record of teaching and research missions aligned with the Department (https://www.pfw.edu/departments/etcs/depts/cs/cs/accreditation-assessment.html); excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities include: a typical appointment at this rank consists of teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Computer Science and Information Systems, engaging in scholarly endeavors, academic advising, and collaborating with the business community.  Service to and engagement with the University, Department, and community is also required.
