Instructor/Assistant Professor of Accounting The Department of Business at Rhodes College (http://www.rhodes.edu/) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured, three-year position in Accounting to begin Fall 2022. The department offers accounting courses in conjunction with both its interdisciplinary undergraduate business major and its graduate Masters of Science in Accounting. This position is renewable with successful performance review. We seek a candidate who is committed to teaching and service at a liberal arts college. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and support the academic growth of students through advising, mentoring, and shared learning. Successful candidates will possess the skill, knowledge, and ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses. All areas will be considered, but the interest and willingness to develop new courses in data analytics, tax and/or auditing is desirable. A doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., DBA, JD) in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required. Candidates with a master's degree and relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CGMA, CMA) will also be considered. In addition to teaching, candidates will be expected to actively participate in service activities in the department, college, and the accounting profession.
