Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently seeking an academic Psychiatrist to join our expanding program in picturesque north central Florida. We have a team of driven faculty and eager trainees who provide consultation-liaison inpatient psychiatry services to an 1162 bed medical center. The Department is dedicated to integrated and trauma informed care, health equity, excellence in resident and student education, behavioral neuroscience, telehealth, and research excellence.

This consultation-liaison psychiatry faculty position is 1.0 FTE (Full Time) non-tenure track and includes direct patient care, teaching, and supervision predominantly on medical/surgical inpatient floors. The rank of the appointment is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicant must be an M.D. or D.O. Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with fellowship training and certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry strongly preferred. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a State of Florida Medical License. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated record of clinical excellence as well as scholarly or teaching interest in an academic medical center.
