Under the general supervision of the Director of Health Services
the Patient Services Representative coordinates and facilitates a
variety of functions in support of Student Health and Counseling
Services mission, values, and goals. Incumbent functions with a
moderate degree of independence and exercises considerable
discretion, judgment and confidentiality as required in a clinical

and visitors. Gathers pertinent patient data to facilitate service
to the client/patient and receipt of payments for service provided.
Provides efficient and accurate customer service to
clients/patients with their registration and other needs.

completion of a high school program or its equivalent and some

- Experience providing reception and clerical duties in an office
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion when
responding to routine and non-routine inquiries and assessing
urgency of situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability
to convey information clearly and accurately.
- Fluency in using standard office software packages (e.g.,
