Responsibilities:
Teaching experience in lecture of exercise science, adaptive physical education; be ethical, responsible, and adaptable; seek opportunities to grown personally and professionally; embrace the mission and objectives of California Community Colleges; have an interest in innovation designed to enhance programs in the School of Wellness, Exercise Science and Athletics as well as campus wide programs at Southwestern College


Knowledge and Abilities:


Education and Experience:


Minimum Qualifications: (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only)
Master’s in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education

OR

Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy

OR
the equivalent

AND
15 semester units of upper division or graduate study in adapted physical education.


Desirable Qualifications:


Salary
$65.95 to $77.80 per hour. Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree conferred.

Start Date

As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the subsequent governing board approval.
