Clinical Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor (non-tenure track): The School of Nursing, located in downtown Atlanta, invites applications for three full-time, non-tenure-track faculty positions. The responsibilities in these nine-month, non-tenure-track positions will include teaching in our undergraduate and/or graduate programs and participating in scholarly activities. Other responsibilities include student advisement and mentoring and school, university, and community-service involvement. Rank will be determined based on prior clinical and/or teaching experience.  Prefer a Ph.D. in Nursing or equivalent doctoral degree, D.N.P., or D.N.S. and prior teaching experience.

 

Minimum qualifications include 1) Georgia RN license/license eligible; 2) master’s degree in nursing or equivalent degree, and 2) a minimum of two years of nursing practice experience and teaching experience. Preferred areas for clinical expertise include community health nursing, medical-surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing, obstetrical nursing and pediatric nursing.  Certification such as a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist with current practice experience is desirable.
