Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts-based institution in Milton Massachusetts. In addition to the main campus classes for adult learners are also offered at our campus at Cordage Park in historic Plymouth. Job Description:

The Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) at Curry College is an internationally recognized program, serving students with average to above-average intelligence who have language-based learning disabilities (LD), Attention Deficits (ADHD), and/or Executive Function challenges (EF). The program's metacognitive approach has been a model for 50 years. PAL is seeking a candidate to teach students one-on-one and in small groups using strength-based, developmental, and motivational approaches. The PAL curriculum fosters success in all aspects of students' academic lives.

The PAL department at Curry College invites applications for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2022. The candidate will be expected to advance program goals through metacognitive and transformational teaching and learning, scholarship and research, service, advising, and collaborating with the greater Curry College community. Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• An earned doctorate (by August 2022) in Special Education, Education, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related field is required.
• Teaching experience with emerging adults or in higher education. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with disorders that accompany learning differently, educational assistive technology, and psychoeducational evaluation reports.
