Admissions and Advisement Director

Job Description

The Admissions/Advisement Director in the School of Nursing and Health Professions ( SNHP ) is responsible for administering the academic advisement plan, overseeing the departmental admissions process, directing departmental recruitment and retention activities; providing assistance with accreditation-related activities; and providing support for the delivery of on and offsite program offerings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
  • Directs student advisement processes, orientation, and development programs. Oversees all transfer student related activities.
  • Directs all prospective student recruitment activities. Coordinates SNHP engagement activities for workforce development, K-12 students and community organizations.
  • Designs, creates and manages select documents and reports for program accreditation and licensure. Collects and analyzes data for program assessment, evaluation, accreditation and grant reporting.
  • Directs process for SNHP program admission. Manages and provides standard operating procedures for nursing program admission/ongoing program progression; recommends establishment or changes in policies and procedures.
  • Oversees marketing for all SNHP programs ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Serves as the liaison between SNHP and other university offices. Collaborates with faculty to coordinate the SNHP Professional Career Day.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in related field; management, teaching and academic advising experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
