We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pose as subject for paintings, sculptures, and other types of artistic expression.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dress in manner appropriate for each assignment
  • As a nude or costumed model, hold poses for varying time intervals.
  • May pose for all types of art classes.
  • Take direction from instructor to provide suitable poses and independently strike suitable interpretive poses.
  • May model for portrait or full figure study.
  • Available to work flexible schedule as requested.
  • Support students' art education.
  • Exhibit mature behavior and professional demeanor required for ethical nude modeling.
  • Arrive in a timely manner for scheduled modeling sessions.
  • Provide assistance to the faculty member in setting up and tearing down the modeling stage before and after each session.
Supplemental Functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Understand the aesthetics of the human form.
  • Must have physical stamina to hold long/dynamic poses; psychologically and emotionally mature for nude modeling.
  • Must be reliable and have initiative.
Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Requirements
High school education or equivalent or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Completion of art courses may be helpful. Prior modeling experience desired but not required.

This position is generally limited to working a maximum of 14.5 hours per week. (Maximum hours for employees with more than one part-time position at Collin College may vary.)
