The Notre Dame of Maryland (NDMU)
Physician Assistant Studies Program is seeking an energetic
self-starter to join its Physician Assistant (PA) Program team of
professional educators as its Administrative Coordinator. The
well-qualified, right-fit candidate will join a team that includes
an experienced Program Director, Medical Director, a Director of
Academics, a Director of Clinical Education, Principal Faculty
member(s), and several adjunct instructors. You will join the
Program Director in administering and supporting a team of
high-caliber individuals that will embrace and carry forward the
programs commitment to leading PA students to becoming well
trained, competent, and compassionate Physician Assistants. The
Administrative Coordinator will participate in all facets of the
administrative aspects of the program, including records that
pertain to Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences, oversight of
all clinical experience related administrative activities, student
assessment records, and participation in program accreditation
activities. The NDMU PA Studies Program provides staff with
opportunities for professional growth and development, admission
process support, and multiple fringe benefits.
Primary responsibilities will include, but will
not be limited to:
Manage phone calls, mail, and routine
face-to-face communication for the NDMU PA Program.
Arranges PA program appointments and
meetings, including scheduling, room reservations, and menu/food
service arrangements.
Processes memos, letters, and other
correspondence for the PA Program Director.
Prepares spreadsheets, charts,
graphs, and various surveys, data sets, and assessment results for
reports and presentations.
Maintain confidential files and
records pertaining to PA students and faculty.
Process full time, instructional, and
adjunct faculty contracts, personnel information, and related
statistics. Creates and maintains all faculty lists.
Participate in and maintain minutes
for various PA Program committees.
Assist with budget development,
utilization, and maintenance processes.
Supports the program during
assessment and accreditation events.
Plans and coordinates travel
arrangements and program events/meetings
Provides administrative support to PA
Program Committees.
Acts as a campus-wide ombudsman by
respectfully representing the PA Program.
Records and maintains minutes of
various committee meetings; instructs others, as needed, for
recording and maintaining various committee meetings.
In collaboration with the PA Program
Director, develop and implement procedures, documents, and files
that will support the PA Program in meeting or exceeding all (most
current) ARC-PA Standards (5th Edition.)
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Medical School. Educational Requirement: Possession of Master’s degree is a minimum requirement for Physician Assistants (PAs); Doctorate Degree is preferred. Current and valid NCCPA Certification for Physician Assistants; Maryland licensure, or eligibility for licensure, is required for PAs. Current and valid Maryland licensure is required for Physicians; Board Certified by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved specialty board is also required. A minimum of three years of clinical practice experience as a PA or Physician. Experience delivering instruction in a graduate medical education program is highly desired.
