Responsibilities
The software analyst develops and maintains the College's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Ellucian Colleague), database and related administrative software systems. They also maintain the operations of third-party application integrations (e.g., ImageNow, DocuSign and other proprietary administrative applications).

System Analysis and Development: Develops, tests, administers and maintains Ellucian's Colleague enterprise software; implements upgrades and new features. Troubleshoots and resolves problems and participates in departmental planning. Coordinates and manages integrations with third-party solutions. Plans, coordinates, reviews testing and benchmarks of upgrades and new features.

Customer Support: Works directly with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve issues and develops project requirements and plans; conducts end-user training individually and in groups, writes technical and end-user documentation; develops applications outside of the Ellucian framework and maintains the operations of third-party application integrations (e.g., ImageNow, DocuSign and other proprietary administrative applications) and coordinates the work of outside consultants in service of end users' needs. Maintains the day to day operations of AIS, including working with the end users and updating scheduled processes, performing other complex and technical operational processes that are unable to be completed by departmental staff.

System Administration and Database Management: Manages and installs software updates. Communicates with users regarding changes to the software. Troubleshoots system issues. Manages user access and security. Performs audits of user access and security. Coordinates change calendars and documentation on software updates.

Project Management: Confers with administrators and users regarding desired enhancements and modifications to information systems, which includes providing technical expertise and recommendations with regard to business process and how software may support such processes; duties include programming, project management of complex projects.

Ongoing Professional Development: Works in a highly collaborative environment and develops effective relationships within the Department and with other areas of the College; attends conferences, workshops and meetings consistent with professional development, as well as on-going College training programs, to meet the growing demands of the position.

Experience and Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Required: B.A.

Experience: At least two (2) years experience as a Software Analyst or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Abilities:
Ability to function in a team oriented environment with a commitment to excellent customer service; structured programming skills, including program testing and debugging techniques. Ability to provide analysis of business processes, as they relate to the use of software; experience and ability with training and providing technical direction and assistance to users. Demonstrated commitment to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and others from diverse multicultural communities, preferably in higher education settings.

Other Requirements:
Availability for occasional weekend/evening work; travel for training and conferences.
