This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. This position acts as a recruiter and is a complex administrative position that must maintain an extensive knowledge of university admission requirements, policies and procedures in order to interpret those regarding admissions. Incumbent must be able to implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy within a specific territory or specific population of students and advise students on enrollment requirements. Travel and promote the university in a positive manner at recruitment events including community college fairs and visits with the primary focus in the Kansas City metro area. Educate and inform prospective transfer students, parents, and college administrators about all aspects of the university including degree programs on-campus, online, and at UCM Lee’s Summit. Plan and implement on and off campus events for potential transfer students, community college counselors/faculty/staff. Review transcripts of prospective students to determine transferability and applicability to UCM programs; advise students on general education and major-specific course selection to coordinate associate degree requirements with UCM bachelor degree requirements. Actively manage the transfer inquiry and admit pools to enhance yield. The Transfer Coordinator is a member of the UCM Office of Admissions recruitment team and is based at UCM Lee’s Summit. -One (1) year of demonstrated relevant work experience including student work experience, volunteer work or student ambassador. Individuals who understand what it is to be “service centered”.
-Prefer experience in higher education environment.
-Experience in college recruitment or academic advising preferred.
