The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences offers
college-level Health/Leisure/Physical Education courses in the
following formats: face-to-face, live online via Zoom and Canvas
(PCS’s learning management system), and asynchronous online.
Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess
student learning, and maintain College and department standards.
This position reports to Dr. Martha Sablatura, Department Head,
Humanities & Social Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications: To teach college-level courses,
graduation from an accredited institution with a Master’s degree in
Physical Education OR a Master’s degree AND 18 graduate hours in
any combination in the following qualifying fields: Exercise
Physiology, Health, Exercise Science, Human Performance and
Recreation, Kinesiology or Health and Fitness are required.
Successful results of a criminal background check are also
required. Instructors must be able to use and demonstrate the use
of technology required for assigned course(s).

Salary Range: Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly
basis according to degree level and hours submitted on a bi-weekly
time report as follows:
Master’s Degree: $31.00
NOTE: This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled by the
department on an as needed basis.
